E-Quality Partners (E-QP), LLC is a founded upon the idea that the path to greater independence and autonomy for individuals, organizations and countries is education. Implementation of strong quality management system adherent with the WHO MQAS or WHO GLPs improves access to direct funding opportunities from international donor agencies and international procurement agencies (IPAs), thereby providing increased opportunities for organizations in LMICs. E-QP technical consultants are experts in the field of quality assurance for medical supply chains, and we operate on the principle of empowering our clients to become equal partners in the provision of health commodities to their communities.

Improving an organization’s quality management system is a complex and dynamic process that requires sustained attention and resources. An organization’s ability to implement the concepts described in the WHO MQAS depends upon three C’s:

Our Strategy

Baseline Assessment & Technical Assistance for Quality Compliance:

First, we conduct a baseline assessment of the organization’s current quality management system to identify gaps in compliance with the appropriate standard.  This baseline assessment places the organization in one of 3 maturity levels, which will support E-QP’s understanding of the level of effort required to support the development of the organization’s quality management system.    

  • Level 1 – Basic

  • Level 2 – Intermediary

  • Level 3 – Advanced

Once placed in a maturity level, E-QP will provide technical assistance by working with staff on training and quality system development, using a combination of on-site and remote support, mobile phone-based training modules, interactive remote training sessions and the provision of the customized tools, SOPs, forms and questionnaires to support the organization’s activities.  

Assessing the baseline quality management system and providing technical assistance in the form of training and customization of process tools are the first steps but implementing and maintaining a quality management system is critical to an organization’s ability to secure new sources of revenue, including international clients.   E-QP can provide guidance on ways to continually support quality management system implementation and prepare your organization for an external audit to achieve quality compliance.

Meet our Team

When an organization is audited, they are often given an audit report indicating where they failed to adhere to the given standard (ISO, MQAS, GMP, GDP). In LMICs, audited organization may have little support to understand and implement the necessary corrective and preventive actions to attain the applicable quality management standard. Our Principal Director, Mrs. Britta Ranade, B. Eng, MPH, MBA, founded E-QP to address this issue by providing the missing follow-up support, including training and capacity-building for client organizations. E-QP strives to improve the quality of medicines and medical devices flowing through international supply chains by working with our clients to improve the quality management systems of organizations at all levels in the supply chain.  

  • Britta Ranade - B. Eng, MPH, MBA

    PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR

    Britta trained as a biomedical engineer and spent several years working for 3M Health Care in their Medical Sales Division. She has over twelve years of quality assurance experience with international pharmaceutical and medical device supply chains, during which time she has worked with international procurement and funding agencies, national medicine regulatory authorities, WHO, and privately-held medical importers, wholesalers and distributors of all sizes. Britta was the PFSCM Product Quality Assurance Manager, which held supply contracts with the USAID-funded Supply Chain Management Systems (SCMS) project and The Global Fund (TGF) project. She developed and supported PFSCM’s quality management system and its attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification. She has audited pharmaceutical and laboratory/medical device wholesalers, manufacturers, laboratories, and food manufacturers, of which most were located in LMICs,, and also assessed the quality management systems of potential partners to determine eligibility as a procurement partner or recipient of international donor funding. Britta participated in the technical working committee for the 2013 revision of the WHO MQAS, and as an independent consultant, supports public health consulting companies including JSI and FHI360 in the execution of health commodity supply chain projects funded by USAID, The Global Fund and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Britta has lived experience in Benin, West Africa as a rural community health volunteer with the Peace Corps and is conversant in French.

  • Lines Millord - B.Sc

    TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

    Lines Millord is a Technical Consultant with E-Quality Partners, LLC. She has more than 13 years of technical experience in the areas of quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA) and quality management systems (QMS) within different industries. Lines has a degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Salve Regina University in Rhode Island. She spent 5 years in New York performing bench chemistry in pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratories. After which, she joined the PEPFAR-funded Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which was established to provide life-saving pharmaceutical products and lab supplies to patients under USAID leadership, ensuring compliance with good storage and distribution practices of medical products throughout the country.

    Since the conclusion of SCMS, Lines extended her expertise to the food/ beverage and plastics manufacturing industry by working with multiple organizations in order to standardize their different processes through the establishment of a strong QMS. Her work with these companies, evolving in an environment with limited resources, has been focused on the implementation of ISO 9001: 2015 and FSSC 2002 V5. Since joining E-QP, Lines continues to provide technical assistance to organizations in low- and medium-income countries (LMIC), helping them strengthen their quality management system (QMS) as they work towards ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 accreditation or ISO 9001: 2015 certification. Driven by her passion for organizational structure, Lines takes pride providing training to organizations and working collaboratively with them to develop and implement strong quality management systems.

    Lines is Haitian-American, and splits her time between Providence, Rhode Island, and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

  • Ashvini Gahunia - B.Sc, BKin

    PROJECT MANAGER

    Ashvini has over six years of experience in project management and project planning roles, primarily with healthcare companies in Canada. She led the initiation of medical service projects, which included meetings with senior company officials to discuss and define user requirements and created a structured approach for project completion. She is also experienced in ongoing project monitoring and management, including coordinating across functional teams to ensure integration of efforts is maintained and assessing performance metrics during and at the completion of the project to identify areas for improvement and elements that worked well for future projects.
